Dave Duggan
Writer, Dance Lexie Dance with Robert Duvall
|
Dave
Duggan, Writer, on Lexie's Oscar nomination:
Well, it all
begins with a strong screenplay, a small budget, a good director,
great actors, a brilliant producer and production company and the
sense that writing a screenplay in a bedroom in Derry (N. Ireland)
was hardly the first step on the yellow brick road to Hollywood.
Then, the film started to win awards all over the place: Cork, Galway
and most notably Aspen Colorado and Pearse Moore, producer, submitted
it to the Academy Awards. The rest, as they say, is history.
