Two
Nerve Centre productions, ‘Mater in Motion‘, directed by Gary
Rosborough, and ‘A Townland Tale‘, directed by Sharon Concannon/Lee
Cadieux with animation directed by Gary Rosborough will be shown on BBC2
NI on Thursday 1st April at 21.50 - as part of Blast TV.
Gary directed ‘ Mater in Motion‘ in '99, as part of a project
with the Mater Hospital in Belfast and in association with their (then)
Artist in Residence, Beverly Forde. The piece is set in the Mater Hospital
where children from three local schools participated in this cross-community
project by recording the audio for the film while the Nerve Centre added
the finishing touches.
‘A Townland Tale‘ was produced under the Rural Development
Council's (RDC) Peace II programme, and is one of four productions we've
created under this scheme, entitled ‘Rural Reanimation‘. The
remaining three are in the end stages of production and should be completed
very soon.
